Sharon Muse Johnson is among the finest attorneys I've ever worked with. Having worked for attorneys myself, I can say--without hesitation--that she genuinely cares about the victims and families she works with. During her prosecution of my son's murderer, I had countless conversations with her--many on Saturdays and Sundays-- as well as other "after hours." She was responsive and always made me feel as though I was the only victim family she had. She kept me informed, asked difficult questions with compassion and concern and worked tirelessly. She under-promised and over-delivered. There was never a moment I did not feel supported and well- represented. Her leadership abilities--both in the courtroom and her professional office--were nothing short of admirable. She has been a victim herself, and takes her responsibilities as a prosecutor personally. She is both passionate and compassionate. And while the circumstances were less than desirable, she and her staff successfully represented my son, presented the case in a professional manner and justice prevailed. I wholeheartedly support her, and believe she is exactly where she needs to be utilizing the talents that God has given her.

There’s no one who understands the importance of the office of Commonwealth’s Attorney more than a family that has been severely impacted by a life-threatening crime. When a horrendous crime was committed in regard to my granddaughter, Commonwealth’s Attorney Sharon Muse Johnson pursued justice for her in a competent and compassionate manner that should make everyone in her circuit proud of her.  We as a family will be eternally grateful for the way that she prosecuted the case, and for an outcome that was most befitting the crime; namely, six consecutive life sentences and 20 years for tampering with evidence for the criminal. The laws on the books are no better than the ability of authorities to enact and enforce them, and Sharon Muse Johnson knew the law, applied the law, prosecuted passionately, and was most successful in the outcome. I have nothing but accolades of praise for Sharon Muse Johnson, and everyone in her circuit should be proud of her, and feel safer, because she has proven time and again her willingness to stand up for victims and prosecute without reservation, and often in the face of a political bureaucracy that is more criminal friendly. She is exactly the person that is needed for Commonwealth’s Attorney, and while politics can be very ugly at times and have the tendency is to shout loudly and attack the person, I’m glad that Sharon is above that tactic. Simply put, she’s one awesome Commonwealth Attorney!
